Citrus diets Aurantium

Citrus aurantium, which contains synephrin, is a safe form of ephedrin. Ephedrin is know to stimulate metabolism, but can produce nervous system-related side effects (such as sweating) as it crosses the blood-brain barrier. Synephrin, however, acts on a specific class of receptors called beta-3 receptors without affecting diets related receptors. Because of this, it does not cross the blood-brain barrier and, therefore, does not affect other physiological parameters such as heart rate and blood pressure.

Hydroxycitric Acid (HCA)

The biochemistry of the human body is extremely complex, with entire textbooks dedicated to a single metabolic diets pathway. It would be impossible to describe here all of the complex interactions involved in carbohydrate, fat, and energy production metabolism. A simplified description of the effects of hydroxy citric acid (HCA) supplementation on weight and fat metabolism is presented below.

Supplementation with HCA helps to increase the diets amount of fat burned as fuel.

The presence of glucose or insulin in the bloodstream acts as a signal for increased production of the enzyme malonyl CoA. Higher levels of malonyl CoA inhibit the production of a second enzyme, carnitine palmitoyltransferase I, which controls the oxidation of fatty diets acids (fat burning) by regulating their transfer into mitochondria. Low levels of carnitine palmitoyltransferase I result in fewer fatty acid molecules being carried into mitochondria to be burned as fuel.

HCA is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme ATP citrate lyase. Inhibition of this enzyme results in markedly diets diminished production of malonyl CoA in response to glucose or insulin. Supplementation with HCA therefore changes the body´s response to glucose or insulin in the bloodstream. Carnitine palmitoyltransferase levels are not decreased, and so fatty acids continue to be transported into mitochondria. The final result is that fat breakdown diets is not decreased

Supplementation with HCA helps to reduce the amount of fat produced and stored in adipose tissue.

At the same time that it increases the amount of fat being burned, HCA supplementation also results in less fat production. Malonyl CoA is crucial to one of diets the first steps in the biosynthesis of fatty acids from carbohydrates. As noted above, HCA supplementation inhibits the production of malonyl CoA. The resultant lack of this enzyme shuts down the metabolic pathway responsible for fat production from carbohydrates. Less fat is produced for storage in adipose (fat) tissue. diets

Supplementation with HCA helps to suppress appetite.

There is strong evidence that nerves in the liver monitor the levels of glycogen, and that these levels are involved in appetite regulation. The oxidation of fatty acids (fat burning) in the liver increases the effectiveness of two other enzymes, diets pyruvate carboxylase and fructodiphosphatase, which leads to increased glycogen production. The increased glycogen store in the liver is detected, and a signal to that affect is sent to the brain, resulting in appetite suppression.
